Managing Insurance Advisor
Ben is the Managing Insurance Advisor at Ascent Financial servicing clients in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois. He specializes in risk management and estate planning. He is a 2005 graduate of Minnesota State – Mankato, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance with an emphasis on Financial Planning. Along with his FINRA Series 7 and 66 Licenses, Ben also holds his Life Insurance license and Long-Term Care certification. Ben’s responsibilities include researching market and economic trends, as well as finding suitable solutions for estate liquidity. Ben is motivated by working alongside his clients to truly understand the goals, objectives and values they want to pursue, and legacy they want to leave behind. Ben loves spending time with his wife Rebecca, and three children Brayden, Berkleigh and Bristol. He keeps busy with the various activities of an active young family. During the summer months Ben enjoys coaching baseball, camping and fishing, and during the winter months can be found at the hockey rink or in the gym watching gymnastics.

Anne is an Insurance Advisor at Ascent Financial servicing clients in Minnesota and Illinois. She specializes in life, long-term care and disability insurance. Anne holds her Life-Health and Property-Casualty License and has 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Anne’s passion is meeting with her clients and finding the right insurance products to fit their needs. Prior to joining Ascent Financial, she worked for AgStar (Compeer) Financial, Heartland Mutual Insurance Company and other insurance agencies. After living in the Minneapolis Area for 10 years, Anne and her husband Jim moved back to the Adrian area, where they raised their three sons. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, bicycling, remodeling/flipping homes and traveling with her husband.

Mike Arnold is an Insurance Advisor at Ascent Financial servicing clients in eastern Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. He enjoys helping people reach financial security and life goals. He is committed to the successful achievement of client’s personalized goals and brings careful attention to the details that really matter to his clients. Continual education and training are a top priority – he recently completed his MBA and attends regular training covering new strategies and law changes that affect people’s financial well-being. Arnold is also very active in the community. He serves as a Trustee for Winona State University Foundation whose main focus is to grow the endowment fund and to provide scholarships for incoming students.
Sean Cludy is an Insurance Advisor at Ascent Financial. He was born and raised in Stillwater, Minnesota and graduated in 2006 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a degree in Marketing. Sean married in 2013; he and his wife have a two-year-old son named Miles and a one-year-old daughter named Isla. Sean worked in mortgage lending and mortgage fraud auditing before becoming an insurance advisor with Cludy Family Insurance Agency in 2015. Sean resides in Waukesha, Wisconsin and services clients in southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. Sean was a member of the Panthers track and field team as a college student and still roots for his favorite sports teams, including the Milwaukee Brewers.
Tyler is an Insurance Advisor at Ascent Financial serving clients in the North Central Minnesota area. He graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University in 2011. Tyler has been working in the Insurance and Employee Benefits industry for 8 years. He Specializes in working with Life, Health, Dental and Voluntary Benefits. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with family and friends, hunting, fishing and baseball.
Anthony M Maheu
Anthony M. Maheu brings a decade of experience in long term care planning and crafting efficient legacy maximization and tax mitigation strategies to Ascent Financial. With a client-centered focus, he has helped hundreds of families and their farms plan for and transition into successful and sustainable retirements, ultimately constructing legacies that will last for generations. Taking a holistic approach, he creates innovative strategies to successfully reduce tax liabilities, maximize future income and legacy potential while positioning clients for an efficient and effective estate and wealth transfer.
Over the years Anthony has been acknowledged several times for the work he does helping rural Midwest communities and the families that live there. His experience teaching in the community and at the collegiate level continues as he takes time regularly educating and empowering those in rural areas. He recently “rewrote the book” on planning for the retirement focused generation, authoring The Retirement Paradigm.
Anthony was born in Northern Illinois, grew up in McDonough County in Western Illinois, was educated at SIU Carbondale in Southern Illinois, eventually calling the St. Louis area home with his wife and two kids. Anthony has spent a majority of his life volunteering as a firefighter to help those in need in the communities he serves.
